Like the Spitfire, the eponymous IWC watch collection perfectly combines form and function. At the heart of the new Spitfire line is the Pilot's Watch Chronograph Spitfire (Ref. IW387902). The design is inspired by the legendary Navigation Clock Mark 11, which was produced in Schaffhausen from 1948 for the Royal Air Force (RAF). IWC presents its first Pilot's Watch chronograph with a movement from the 69000 caliber family and a reduced case diameter of just 41 millimeters. The 69000 caliber family, first launched in 2016, represents one of the most important manufacturing movements in the early history of IWC. For the first time, IWC has now installed a member of this caliber family in its Pilot's Watches. The bronze case, the olive green dial and the brown calf leather strap give this chronograph a unique character. Over time, the bronze develops a special patina, which makes each watch a unique piece.
