SIHH 2019 - IWC Pilot's Watch Double Chronograph TOP GUN Ceratanium®
Case made of Ceratanium®, mechanical chronograph movement, date and weekday display, chronograph function for hours, minutes and seconds, slave indicator for interim measurement, small seconds with stop device, soft iron inner housing for magnetic field shielding.
The TOP GUN watches produced by IWC since 2007 have their name from the Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor Program of U.S. Pat. Navy. As a Swiss watch company with a US founder, IWC Schaffhausen is proud to have elite pilots of the U.S.. Navy to supply. The TOP GUN watches are specially equipped with robust materials such as ceramic and titanium to meet the specific requirements of elite jet pilots. The matte black ceramic case, for example, ensures that the pilots are not distracted during the flight by sunlight, which is reflected by their watches. The hard and scratch-resistant ceramic is perfect for daily use in a narrow cockpit and also withstands extreme g-forces. Ceramics and titanium are also extremely corrosion resistant and resistant to moist, salty sea air. The watches also have a soft iron inner case, which protects them from magnetic fields. With the new TOP GUN line, IWC is using the innovative new material Ceratanium® in a Pilot's Watch for the first time; and with the Pilot's Watch Double Chronograph TOP GUN Ceratanium (ref. IW371815), the company launches its first all-black aviator watch.
