1884. In St. Imier in the Swiss Jura, Léon Breitling founds his workshop and specializes in the production of chronographs and counters. A milestone in the history of Breitling is the patenting of the second independent pusher dedicated to zeroing. Breitling has taken on an ambitious challenge and has all the factories - mechanical and quartz tested by the extremely strict Official Swiss Chronometer Control (COSC), the highest independent authority in terms of precision and reliability. In order to guarantee their independence in the long term and to be able to fully implement their quality expectations, Breitling presents in 2009 its first caliber designed and manufactured entirely in its own workshops.
